The project, commissioned by a housing cooperative, is one of the rare examples of newly built economic and popular construction in the islands of the Venice lagoon. Urbanization and project have taken into account the inclusion in the delicate urban fabric of the island while having to build according to principles of economy (first of all, the typical one of houses in line). That is the reason for some typical styles of the island's architecture, which have been approved by the client-users and the approval of the surveillance bodies for constraints imposed on the historic centre. Time seems to confirm the goodness of the choices made at the time.
